Great Memories For Grandkids

Good Monday morning to you!

Remember when you were a kid and you and your siblings grabbed for the family photos?  I do!

At our house, they were kept in an old gift box.  My two sisters and I would pull them out and go through them one by one.  It was like we'd NEVER seen them before.  It still was the most exciting thing for us as a pastime!

Today our photos are all over the place.

Some pictures are on our cell phones.  Some pictures may be stored in the "cloud".  Many pictures are posted on Facebook.  Perhaps you even have a family page or website where you can interact and share stories and photos.

For older people, like grandparents, many of the pictures are still in boxes because they are NOT big internet users.

For the highly organized people, they may all be in photo journals.

A special tip for you parents out there:  A lot of your folks are confounded when it goes to the internet.  They don't know how to download, upload, or do many of the things WE do everyday.

How wonderful it would be for them to be able to use these graphics, and get creative themselves!

That's where you come in.

You can copy these yourself and put them in a Word document (see very end for using that tool), and then PDF them yourselves.  Send them on a disk or PRINT them out for them.

This would be a marvelous gift for them to use however they wish.  Maybe you could even do one together to get them started!  (Ah!  Parents count on their kids for so much.  I know I do.)

Imagine how please and proud they would be and the featured STAR of their finished creations!  (Give yourself a pat on the back, if you helped.)

Put them in an online book, a physical scrapbook, in cards, in text cards, in a PDF or on a disk!  So much you can do with these little treasurers.

Gift-wrap your gift and then have some fun doing it together.  What a great weekend project.  Once they get the hang of it themselves; off they'll go on their own.  Teach your parents to FLY!

Both documents have the full sized envelope.  There's two envelope sizes.  There's two sizes of the other items too.  It's all complete; ready to use.

First blank card:  you add a large picture in the top square.

Here's an example.  You may also use this as a card.

Second card blank to add YOUR picture to.

Third blank to add a smaller picture to.

Here’s the breakdown to use this card.  Or just ask for the Word doc or PDF.

To do this project yourself, just follow the instructions below.

HOW TO USE THESE GRAPHICS: To size it how you want it, right click on the picture and choose save as.  Save it to a location on your computer so you can find it.

Now open a new Word document.  Go to the Insert tab and choose picture.  Find the saved picture on your computer and insert it into Word.

When you click on the new image, you’ll see the four corners have little squares.  You can grab any corner and drag it to the size you wish.

Now you can right click and copy this new size, and paste it under that picture on the beginning of a new line.

Makes several copies different sizes, and print them. 

Choose the size that works with the picture of your card recipient.  Cut and glue them in, and you’ve got a card or text card.
